"From April through September 1998, I have reviewed and analyzed the Wilmington Memorial Library's functions, goals, building facility and site. My assistant, Kevin McCarthy, and I have had numerous meetings and conversations with the library staff. We have also spoken with the Trustees, members of the Friends of the Library, and a cross-section of residents to gain insight into their visions of the library as it prepares for meeting the community's needs into the 21st century. I am pleased to present my findings and recommendations."
