March 31, 2003"This report is the Corrective Action Alternative Analysis (CAAA) for the Maple Meadow Landfill in Wilmington, Massachusetts. ... The CAAA is the stage in the landfill assessment and closure process that involves the evaluation of steps to be taken to remediate adverse impacts of the landfill on the environment. This pre-design stage is aimed at developing permanent solutions to issues caused by pollutants emitted into the environment by the historic landfilling operation. The emphasis is placed on the long-term effectiveness of each alternative evaluated. Once an alternative is selected, the process moves to the design phase(s) and then to the construction phase(s)."
